14 Mar 2014 PNW Migration Update

The evening started out with excellent conditions for northbound migrants – light winds and no rain.  As the evening progressed the rains came in on this weak cold front.  It’s hard to tell if the birds pushed through or put down as the radar returns get swamped with rain signals.  Looking at the Hydrometeor scan it looks like some birds continued to move but it’s hard to tell the magnitude.

None the less, birds are on the move.
