Migration Update: 13 Mar 2013

Another night of favorable winds and some birds are definitely on the move in the Pacific Northwest.  We again had some returns on the reflectivity signal in the 20dBz range.  Flight is still dispersed but pockets of birds are sending the returns.

A look at the national composite reveals the beginnings of migration up the Central Flyway.  The Atlantic Flyway, in contrast, is pretty quiet.  The stiff north winds may have something to do with that.
