Another abbreviated pre-fieldtrip post. There was heavy migration throughout the Pacific Flyway again last night. An interesting strong movement of birds was noticeable up the N-S section of the Columbia last night. I’ll post the loop later today when i get some time. Check out the RAP site to see it before then.
The weather is turning a bit here as a low pressure system is coming in to replace that high which has made for some very nice May weather. This will shift the winds to out of the south so that precipitation becomes issue as migration winds down here.
The Medford area, the Central Valley, and SoCal all had solid returns last night.
